Once you become eligible to participate in the benefit program, you may enroll eligible dependents for:
- Medical coverage
- Dental coverage
- Vision coverage
- Dependent Term Life and AD&D coverage
- Critical Illness Insurance
- MetLaw Group Legal
Eligible dependents include:
- Your legal spouse
- Your dependent children under age 26, unless otherwise required by applicable law
- Your children who become physically or mentally disabled before age 26 and remain disabled, regardless of their current age.
Your "children" include children for whom you have legal custody, such as stepchildren, foster children placed with you by an authorized agency or court, legally adopted children, court-awarded children, children placed with you for legal adoption. If you enroll dependents under the Group medical and/or dental plans, you will be asked to provide verification of eligibility for each dependent enrolled. Within 7-10 business days following your enrollment, you will receive a letter from Xerox HR Solutions with instructions for completing the dependent verification. You will need to respond to the correspondence from Xerox HR Solutions within 35 days, or the enrolled dependents will be terminated from coverage and the dependent will not be eligible for COBRA. The next opportunity to re-enroll dependents and verify eligibility will be during Annual Enrollment.
